Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) provide basic bedside care under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians. LPNs perform tasks such as dispensing medications, wound care, taking vital signs, collecting samples, feeding patients, and helping patients with personal hygiene. LPNs are employed in nursing homes, hospitals, physicians’ offices, and clinics. Employment opportunities for LPNs are expected to grow through the coming years.
